Priscilla A. Day, MSW, Ed.D., enrolled tribal member Leech Lake Reservation, Professor Emeritus, Social Work, University of Minnesota Duluth. Dr. Day serves as a national consultant for several organizations including the National Tribal Child Welfare Center for Innovation and Advancement, University of Minnesota Duluth-Tribal Training and Certification Partnership, National Indian Child Welfare Association, and Red Lake Tribal Nation. Dr. Day trains ICWA and other child welfare curricula in Minnesota and nationally. She is the author of many academic publications on child welfare, family preservation and tribally restorative practices. Dr. Day’s area of research is in child welfare and American Indian family preservation. She is the mother of three and grandmother of ten children.
