Jeri Jasken, Noodin Giizhigkwe, is an enrolled member and lifelong citizen of Gaawaabaabigaanikaag, White Earth; a mother of four and grandmother. Jeri served as the Director of Indian Child Welfare at White Earth from 1996-2015 and the Behavioral Health Director at White Earth from 2015-2019, building and administering multiple programs. Including: child welfare/family services, mental health community outpatient and clinic sites, substance use disorder programs, EIDBI, healing to wellness programs, inpatient integrated treatment for women with children, inpatient treatment for men, and inpatient treatment for youth; medication assisted treatment programs, Maternal Outreach and Mitigation programs, harm reduction programs on the Reservation, Bemidji, Duluth and Twin Cities areas. Jeri has experience with 638 programs, services, functions, activities, third party billing, and infrastructure building. Title IV-E policy and reimbursements, federal and state child welfare policies, culturally based program development and practice models. In 2019 Jeri joined the University of Minnesota Duluth's Department of Social Work to direct and build the Tribal Training and Certification Partnership under the advisement of Dr. Priscilla Day. Jeri utilizes her practice experience to provide technical assistance, promote self-governance and administer the TTCP. Jeri graduated from Concordia College Moorhead with an undergraduate degree in psychology and English writing, and a MSW from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
